Fast-Track Approvals Bill:
April 2024
A fast-track to needless, thoughtless environmental destruction and very angry communities!
TCG strongly opposes this bill as it will lead to significant environmental harm, is undemocratic, and impractical.
Biodiversity Credits Market: November 2023
A difficult thing to get right due to all the risks that must be avoided.
TCG recognises the need to incentivise restoration and conservation of indigenous biodiversity on private land, but we question whether a credit system is the right way to go about it.
Proposed National Policy Statement for Indigenous Biodiversity: March 2020
A critical necessity but key components need strengthening.
TCG agrees that national direction to reverse the decline in indigenous biodiversity is long overdue, but this draft was lacking in several key areas and we provide advice on that!
